For seventeen years I was a stay-at-home mom. I poured everything I had into my six kids — homeschooling them, raising them to be communicators, teaching them that hard work and character matter more than shortcuts. It was a full, beautiful life. And then it shifted.

My marriage ended. And suddenly I was a single mom with six kids, no income, no business experience, and a decision to make about what came next.

I could have shrunk. I didn't.

I had just lost 100 pounds through sheer discipline and grit — a journey that taught me more about resilience than anything else in my life ever had. So I became a certified personal trainer, built a client base of 25+ women, created an app, launched a YouTube channel, and started helping other moms do what I had done. I was proud of it. And I hit a ceiling — capped on time, capped on income, with bigger dreams still ahead of me.

That's when my mentor James — a 26-year mortgage industry veteran — saw something in me and brought me into home loans. I won't sugarcoat it. Learning an entirely new industry as a single mom of six was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I did it anyway.

Within my first year I closed $2 million in a single month — the fastest anyone at my company had ever done it. I became the only loan officer in the entire company to receive company leads, because of how I connect with people, how I build trust, and how I follow through. I have the highest conversion rate in the company. And I was awarded the "Drive" award — "the inner motivation pushing you to achieve your goals no matter the obstacles."

All of that within six months of my divorce being finalized.
